Spartan Wellness and The Invictus Games 2017

From Sept 23- 30, Toronto will play host to The Invictus Games in which 550 competitors from 17 nations will compete in a series of adaptive sports matches such as wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, track & field and golf. Able bodied and disabled Veterans will compete side by side on the same teams, representing their nations in an event which celebrates and honours Veterans and their ability to overcome severe mental and physical health conditions.

Several Spartan Wellness employees and patients will be participating in this year’s Invictus Games. Among them are Spartan Wellness employee Jean-Claude Migneault in golf and indoor rowing, Spartan Wellness patient Tracy Cooney in cycling, wheel chair basketball and rowing, Spartan Wellness patient Wayne Jerrett in golf and swimming and Spartan Wellness patient, Steven Roach, who will caddy for Jerrett.

Spartan Wellness CEO and Co-Founder, Riad Byne played on Team Canada’s Golf team at last year’s Invictus Games in Orlando, Florida.  Here he is below pictured with Prince Harry of Wales in a team photo.
