Sound of Remembrance

The Sound of Remembrance concert is a commemorative event held at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, Canada. This annual concert is part of the museum’s efforts to honor and remember the sacrifices of Canadian soldiers and veterans, especially around the time of Remembrance Day in November. The event typically features live musical performances, including classical music, military band performances, and choral pieces, often inspired by themes of remembrance, peace, and the experiences of war.

Spartan Wellness is proud to sponsor the Sound of Remembrance because this event aligns with our mission to support veterans’ well-being. Spartan Wellness is committed to helping veterans by providing holistic health services, including physical and mental health care, which complements the concert’s theme of honouring the sacrifices made by Canadian soldiers.

The concert aims to create a reflective atmosphere, offering a poignant tribute to those who have served and continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. Through music, the event connects audiences to the emotional and historical weight of Canada’s military heritage. It is usually performed by renowned musicians or military bands and may include collaborations with other artistic performers.

Sound of Remembrance

The Sound of Remembrance provides a meaningful space for attendees to reflect on the costs of war, the courage of service members, and the enduring importance of peace.

This year’s Sound of Remembrance concert at the Canadian War Museum on November 9, 2024, will feature performances by country music stars Jason McCoy and Graham Trude, also known as “The Singing Soldier.” Jason McCoy, a Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, will headline the event with a special acoustic set, while Graham Trude will bring his unique blend of military experience and country music to the stage.

The concert is dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of Canadian veterans, with proceeds going to support Soldier On Canada, a charity that assists veterans with their physical and mental recovery through sport.
